First, place the drilling rig at the drilling position and fix it firmly. Then shift into neutral and start installing the drill pipe.

Start the power. The handle controls the hydraulic chuck — press down to release, pull up to clamp. Release it first, then insert the drill pipe. The other handle controls the cylinder: retraction moves it up, applying pressure moves it down.

Then install the water swivel and the drill bit at the bottom. Lift it up a little, clamp it tight, install the drill bit, and connect the water swivel on top. Use two pipe wrenches to tighten it firmly, or it may fall off.

After the drill pipe is connected, turn off the power. Always cut the power before shifting gears. Shift into first gear, then start the power again. Now it can drill down.

Before drilling, close the throttle valve fully. This valve controls the up/down speed of the cylinder. Close it, apply pressure, then slowly release it and watch the cylinder move down. Adjust it according to the ground: open it more on soft ground, run it slower on hard ground. If it is too fast, the rig may be pushed upward.

The stroke is 400 mm. Once it has drilled in 400 mm, release the hydraulic chuck, and the drill rod stops turning. Let the cylinder come up empty, clamp it at the top, and continue drilling. Before drilling, close the throttle valve and apply pressure.

For actual drilling, water injection must be used — no dry drilling. This is just a demonstration. After drilling down with no drill pipe left above, release the chuck, unscrew the water swivel, add one more drill pipe, reconnect the water swivel, and continue drilling. Repeat this until the required depth is reached, then start grouting.
